impossible is nothing!!

Over recent years Adidas have been using the 'Impossible is Nothing' campaign, using superstars like David Beckham, Muhammed Ali and Jonah Lomu.  Each star tells a story of obstacles they have had to overcome in their careers or personal lives and then went on to be the best at the chosen sport.
Things in the media can have major effect on children these days wether its good or bad, a childs behaviour can change by someone or something on television or in the press.  So i think Adidas's approach to this campaign is only going to have a positive impact on younger people and even adults.  The best thing about these adverts is the way in which the stories are told, there not in a bragging or patronising way, also I like mix of the star illustrating thier story and narrating it as they go along, this way it makes it easier for a connection with the viewer.

I decided to use the Muhammed Ali video because it tells the story of two people but only from point of view.  Ali and his daughter Leila who is also a boxer tells the stories of careers obstacles that her father has overcome, then near the end she reverses the focus onto her own personal matters, which was about how women shouldn't become boxers, and the fact she did and then went onto be successful aswell, this widens the audience for adidas appealing to younger girls aswell as the male audience that Muhammed Ali attracts.  Also the approach takn towards this advert is different to previous adverts for this on-going campaign, this time there wasn't drawing going on it was all movie styled effects making it possible for the Father and daughter to look like they are boxing each other, which making an impossiblity look possible.
